Why are so many new archivist, preservation, library jobs term limited? I just saw one for 18 months, it hardly seems worth it for both the candidates and the institution. #digipres #libraries

@mutanthumb Budgeting is tough. I've known so many institutions who for organizational reasons just can't seem to get a permanent position; at best a one-year term that renews indefinitely.
