A new version of SmashTunes was just released. In my attempt to clean up my project, which was kind of dated, I removed some essential configuration that was needed for using #AppleEvents. It triggers a modal that asks your permission to let SmashTunes control #AppleMusic or #Spotify. But these dialog were never shown to new users 🙁

Never remove obscure plist values from your #Xcode project!

@HendrikLinde @matt I think this might've been the issue I had with SmashTunes lately. The modal didn't appear when loading the app via Launchpad or Finder, but did when loading it via Terminal (in other words, loading it through the MacOS executable file directly via Show Package Contents) so I was loading it through that.

I'll give it a shot tomorrow!

@HendrikLinde @Flaky The update fixed all the problems I was having! After the update, I got the prompt to give permissions to the app (which I didn't initially get due to the bug you found) and then... it works!

Even the ListenBrainz submissions work properly now; it shows in both the Now Playing column AND the history (where before it only showed in NP)

@matt @HendrikLinde Yeah same here! ListenBrainz is working great now. Seems like we ran the same bug that got fixed on this update (though I feel you debugged it better than I did lol)
