I'm feeling a bit mentally deflated from yesterday, but I have to say that combining vanilla yoghurt with home made nectarine jam and dumping some on top of a bowl of muesli is a pretty good mood lifter.

My Big Day is over, and I tripped over a rug!

So ... I've been in a longish (mostly due to holidays and timezones) process of interviewing with a company and it was pretty positive but it didn't quite get over the line, mainly because I was a bit too rusty in my Python.

That was Plan B for this year. There's also a Plan C and I guess you'll be hearing more about that very soon.

Tomorrow is a Big Day. I am as prepared for it as I think I can be, but it's been a thing that's coming for ages now and I'm all up in my head about it.

I'm confident that I've done all the necessary computer touching so I think I'm gonna have pizza for dinner and try to just chill out and put the brain in neutral until morning.

With any luck in a couple of days I can stop vagueposting about some stuff. :awesome:

I have been threatening to buy myself a cheap acoustic guitar for a while now, and have finally done it. 😀

My theory is that if I leave it next to the couch I'll pick it up and fiddle with it more often than I do with the electric guitar, which has ... infrastructure requirements.

The last of the nectarines are now jam! The final batch macerated for about 36 hours in the end, because oh god I'm so tired. They ended up swimming in amazing, thick syrup though. In the first couple of pictures here, it's worth noting that the only liquid added to the fruit pieces was the juice of one lemon.

Anyway now I can have nectarines on toast for weeks!
