Apparently the script doesn't do anything at all if a Group is selected. At no point does the script even look at the selected layers. Krita, pls.

Is it intended behaviour or a bug that when you close your last document in #Krita and it shows the start view, the window title retains the name of the last open document?

Edit: Apparently this only happens in the "Tabs" multiple document mode. If I switch to "Subwindows" and close the last subwindow, Krita's window title changes to "Krita".

For some reason my custom zoom script in Krita refuses to zoom in if the current zoom is a multiple of 300%, but only on this one document. Another document with the same DPI zooms just fine.

I don't need this today, I just want to get this art done ;_;

Second time around, I saved the arranged and flattened image before trying to copy+paste it. Third time around, I opened this saved image, and still pasting it causes a freeze.

Fourth time around, I sketched a simple image in Krita instead of using third-party image data. Still freezes.

In all cases, Discord does get an "image" but the thumbnail is empty and it's not able to send the image ("something went wrong", quality error message, Discord).

What I did:

Both freeze, though Discord eventually recovers.

Decided to finally try switching to Krita for all my daily image-editing tasks since I happened to not have Photoshop running today, annnd the very first one caused Krita to freeze. Cool.

Edit: Apparently this was fixed in the patch release immediately after, and shouldn't affect more recent versions :D

Whatever happened to .ART's custom CSS that hides the follower count and shows the instance for follower notifications?

(Also ewww at the "Follow back" button. What the hell, Mastodon.)

@Curator It seems I have the worst luck with .ART's custom CSS 🤣

The custom emoji picker position gets in the way of writing CWs if they're longer than a few words. Unless I'm the only one around writing verbose CWs, maybe it's a good idea to stick with the default style for the emoji picker, where it doesn't have a bunch of conflicts that require unique workarounds.

A problem I have with art on social media is, unlike in art communities with dedicated areas for different types of posts/needs, it's usually unclear what the artist wants out of each art post. Do they want appreciation? critique? sympathy? numbers? to bring out fellow [subject] enthusiasts? Hardly anyone bothers to say, and "getting it wrong" tends to lead to unpleasant experiences.

The result is that I tend to just not respond to art posts on social media.

Update: Got a response from support, they say my account was, in fact, deleted. Yeeey.

Still salty that they gave a shorter notice about slurping images up for AI training than the account deletion process allegedly takes.

Sent an account deletion request to Photobucket four months ago, still no confirmation that they did it :| Quality company.

Is there a setting or extension for #Firefox that only plays GIFs after they've finished loading, and doesn't go past the first frame until then? My connection's crap, so GIFs often don't finish loading and flash horribly when they play.

I know I can set image.animation_mode to "none" in about:config to disable ALL animated images, and that is very tempting, but I would prefer to keep the actually functional GIFs :/

Seems like .ART changed its favicon so now I can never find the tab when I'm looking for it 🤣

All video players and image viewers should have an easily accessible nearest neighbor upscale option in addition to whatever smooth upscaling they want to provide.

It'd also be cool if there was a standardised way for a file to hint that a particular resampling option be used for scaling it up.

What the hell, DuckDuckGo.

With Safe search: Strict, "peertube" returns no results.

@Curator The moved emoji picker also looks bad when the post box gets a scrollbar, which it does sometimes ): Maybe it's best to just leave it where 4.3 puts it. I don't think there's simple CSS to make it work nicely in the top right corner in all situations.

@Curator Yet another complaint about .ART's custom CSS: The emoji picker is positioned over the "cancel" button on editing posts, so it's really difficult to cancel editing a post as a result. Ideally the emoji picker needs to be positioned relative to the input box, not the whole container, which includes the reply preview.

I don't know how to accomplish that, but this CSS moves the cancel button over so both are visible:

.edit-indicator__cancel {

position: relative;

right: 1.1rem;

}

I'd love to see digital games offer their full/extensive voicing as free DLC instead of including all that space- and bandwidth-consuming audio in the main download. This would especially benefit games that have voicing in multiple languages - why should one have to download gigabytes of audio they're never going to hear?

Having the option to not download any voice lines at all would be good for people on poor/metered connections, and people who play without audio.

@Curator On a related note, "embedded" posts in Notifications (e.g. favourites, boosts) have display:none on paragraphs after the first, truncating silently. This CSS should "fix" that and show the usual truncation ellipsis sign, but it will make some embeds appear longer than before, so I'm not sure it's ideal.

.notification-group__embedded-status__content p {

display: unset;

}

Ideally, the web client should show a post truncation indicator instead of just hiding extra paragraphs :/
