When they realeased the Magic Mouse with USB-C and the port still on the bottom. I thought they didn’t care.

But now with the M4 Mac Mini and it‘s ridiculously positioned Power Button I‘m sure they‘re trolling the rest of us…

What are #searchengine alternatives to #Kagi specifically in regards to developers? Looking at privacy, happy to pay for accurate searches and good ux.

I‘m a Kagi user for almost a year now and, as renewal is up, would like to evaluate wether there is another interesting alternative.

I still have a burner Tw1tter account to eventually be able to open and follow links. I just accidentally opened my feed and oh bow, it's such a mess. Even people that I previously considered "normal" or "moderate" are now turning into Elmo supporting N*zis. It's fucking wild and I don't understand what's going on with people...

I just noticed again how shitty Apple Maps is, at least here in Germany the data you see is either outdated or missing completely. Google Maps data usually is pretty good. I‘m wondering if Apple Maps is better somewhere else, I remember when living in Oz around 2017 the navigation data was really bad as well. I‘m wondering if Apple should just shut it down and focus on their stuff. I have the feeling they’re having many lose ends right now…

I then opted for a Garmin Fenix to try and see if it serves my purpose and makes me happier and I must say it's a pretty good match. Things I definitely like more:

1. The Display (MIP) 😍

2. Disableable touchscreen -> So good, especially with Kids

3. 30 days of Battery life + Solar Recharge

4. Proper flashlight LED

5. Doesn't randomly lock itself and is unusable when there's a slight gap between hand and watch, especially in workouts that a huge plus

One thing that bothered me since day one was the Apple Watche's battery life, it's been definitely gotten better from the Series 0 to my Ultra, but still charging it every second day at least is quite a usability bummer for me.

A while ago I disabled wanted to disable all notifications on my Apple Watch, after 10 years of using one I was wondering how life is like when you don't automatically turn your head to your watch when there's a taptic feedback.

Turns out: It's actually great! Being to lazy to actually tune every single notification I disabled taptic feedback completely, turns out the biggest drawback was that I didn't notice when my timers fired anymore.

Also laut Apple Dokumentation soll mein MacBook Akku (14" M1 Max, 2021) 1000 Zyklen halten. Ich bin bei 210 und 83% Kapa. Was mache ich falsch?
