Had an awesome time playing the latest co-op update of Cult of the Lamb with @metasyn tonight. it's my first time playing the game. I always thought the graphics were cute but the game is more fun than i expected and of course it helps to have a nice buddy to chat with. The mood of the evening is gronks and cheese boats :D we used steam remote play together which was a little glitchy but we were ultimately able to get things going. i have the game on my wishlist now :)

Some communities have air filters that folx can borrow for the purposes of COVID-19 safety, though they also come in handy for fire scenarios. Fun fact is that one of these such grassroots orgs based in LA is a furry-led group known as "COVID-19 Safe Furs". They also offer masks and rapid tests.

Wildfires are exacerbated as a result of climate change and mandates that prevent cultural burning. Fire is good and necessary when done with intention and understanding of the ecosystem. For example (not a blanket statement), fire may be needed to break down debris in forests. When this isn't done regularly, the build up can cause a massive fire to develop that wouldn't happen if it were kept in check. We also need to consider what kind of plants and fungi are able to grow or not when triggered by fires, from the under or overstory. Fire can make a huge impact on the overall canopy.

Always check local ordinances around whether you can start a fire before burning anything on your property or when camping and hiking. For folx considering air quality monitors following the LA fires. A few months ago I purchased an Air Gradient One for indoors due to fires near my hometown. You can use the code "SABP13ET" for 10% off (SmartHomeJunkie). It's open source, homekit compatible, and hackable, but also works well out of the box. You can view historical data from web view on your phone or laptop. Having a monitor allowed me to determine if an air filter was necessary from the fires and on the day to day reminds me to air out the room from CO2 build up or from running my stove, even when out of the house. Other monitors I considered from reviews on reddit where the HotKrem 5-in-1 and TemTop M2000c on the more affordable end. I recently picked up animal crossing pocket camp complete. it came up in my search for easy multiplayer games for the ios. i didn't realize the "complete" version of pocket camp only has camper cards for social and only came out recently in december 2024 after the original was discontinued. however, it does have the complete content from the past 7 years plus ongoing events. i played the original game when it first came out.

The game is currently discounted at $10 for it's release and the price will increase at the end of the month. I think this is one of the most enjoyable games i have ever had on my phone. i cannot begin to tell you how fun it is to be able to play on the layout of my phone and be able to progress in a game without ever worrying about microtransactions. the game has so many cute assets and it's super easy (less infuriating) to do the tasks to gather materials compared to the actual game, as well as accumulate coins and what not. i feel free to actually buy the things that i like as i unlock them from leveling up by helping villagers. there's a perfect amount of tasks without being constantly drawn to my phone to be encouraged to buy something with real world money.

i do hope they bring the social features back!

I got some inspiration and just asked my childhood best friend for a beanie that looks like an eggplant. The caveat being that its completion time will be undetermined. Nevertheless I am excited for its prospect! Very bee and puppycat core !!! I think it will suit me well in my farming shenanigans and will be nice to pair with my otherwise lowkey outfits.

Anyone do a lot of data work (data entry, python, analysis, etc.) and keep an additional number/macro pad? How beneficial have you found it? Feel free to use this as an opportunity to brag about your current set up and gear.

Neither of my mechanical keyboards have a number pad, and the 60% I'm borrowing doesn't even have a dedicated arrow pad. For the most part it's fine but every once in a while I wonder if it wouldn't hurt to have something to assist.

I started watching Arcane after my close friends started to recommend it to me on unrelated accounts. Especially for high quality art and queerness. Season 1 isn't very gay so far... though the animation quality and character design was fairly worth the hype! I don't have much of a relationship to league. i played more dota 2 in middle school and League only briefly in high school. i was skeptical about the show playing into some unpleasant aspects of gamer culture... instead I was quite surprised with the craft that has gone into it!
