tfw fedi got me used to people responding instantly and now it's hard to do forum-style "reply and see if they come back tomorrow"

Was there ever a concern that Miku would make singers lose their jobs?
I don't think there was....
If not, why? What does Miku (and Vocaloid technology in general) do that makes it not-a-threat and could AI become not-a-threat in a similar manner?

If CVE scanners are stupid, then what should I do instead?
Suppose I'm a sysadmin / devops at a small sofrware company. The devs write webapps with lots of dependencies, which they rarely update.
Is there anything I can do to meaningfully reduce the risk of a vuln in one of those dependencies getting us pwned, without that consuming all of my time?

Registered mail always knows where it is. That'a because it knows where it hasn't been.
By subtracting where it has been from where it hasn't been, it narrows down the hop on which it is, or, deoending on how much time has passed, the hop where it was last seen.

It's qyite annoying that Thinkpad has the Fn key in the corner and Ctrl to the right of it, while on my other laptop it's the opposite.
I know on Thinkpad you can swap it in BIOS, but I tried that a few years ago when I first got a thinkpad, and the Fn ley wasn't large enough for that to be comf.
I was wondering if it'd work the other way around so...
How would one go about REing the EC on Asus GA402RK?

TIL PCCW is a Tier 1 ISP, and apparently it has been one since 2017... even though I'm pretty sure I looked at that list around 2020 and I don't remember seeing it there.

Long Live Booster 14
RIP Ship 33
We didn't even get to see the RUD, and I think this counts as a mishap (IIRC exemptions are for failure during reentry and landing, and this was during ascent).

Do I remember correctly that the way Block RAM works in Spartan-3E is
you write it as
mem_out <= mem[addr]
but in reality it's the address that gets written synchronously to the read port, and the RAM takes most of the following cycle to give you an output that behaves like a wire?

Found some stuff:

I guess the next step is to decompile the DSDT of one of my computers and try reading it

have MT7922 wifi card in laptop
horrible pings
buy AX210 to replace it
put the AX210 in, try to plug antennas
realize the Aux u.FL socket is borked

I already bought an AX210 so I may as well try swapping it and see if it's better....

Looks like with kernel 6.12.7, that MT7922 gets pretty good speeds (400Mbit/s in a single direction, 150Mbit/s bidir, which is as fast as my wifi router can go)
but the ping is... weird
ping to the wifi router is initially 0.7ms, and then it grows to 20ms and stays there....
