It's very sad to learn that he has left this plane, he was such a unique artist, from the first time I watched his work I felt a very profound and strange connection to it, like if my dreams were made of the same substance. Will miss him a lot β™₯️

While searching for hand tools I came across this Japanese company called γ€ŽENGINEER』: I've read many good comments about their tools, but not a single comment about their #doujin music videos and branding :blobaww: they are amazing!!!

At least there is an about:config setting to disable it: sidebar.revamp

(who knows for how long though)

Question regarding BadUSB / #LinuxKernel: I was reading this* vulnerability report from last year (CVE-2024-38394) that mentions that the kernel identifies some USB devices purely based on vendor:product disregarding the class, are there any HID drivers that are used in this way? My concern would be for instance a device that identifies itself with, for example, class code 02h but behaves as 03h to bypass some usbguard rules

Finally got some time to continue with the wee battery management project. The INA226 power monitor seems to be working fine. At the moment I'm using an STM32 to test this (just for fun) but will write a partial driver for the RP2040 later.

It's not surprising that Trump will attempt to override the 14th Amendment to remove birthright citizenship, what I do find surprising is the total lack of historical references in the news: I haven't seen a single article mentioning very relevant historic events like Dred Scott v. Sandford and the American Civil War.

Journalists in the US now have a crucial opportunity to recall the past to stop retrogrades leaders destroying your country.

We just saved a young dog who was lost and almost got hit by a car while crossing a busy street. Thankfully it had a collar with a phone number so we could hold it while we called the owner who was just a minute away πŸ•πŸ’• it seems the gate was left unlocked by accident but yeah happy ending ^^

Just to be clear: This was on a shop I have never visited before, as a "guest", and I don't remember ever signing up for Shopify / Shop Pay and accepting my data to be stored beyond the required for processing a payment.

This feels a violation of DPA and I will contact them and UK's ICO for clarifications.

This is new to me: When you do any online payment with Shop Pay, #Shopify keeps all of your PII so next time you are on their checkout page and type your email address they will automatically send you an SMS with an OTP, which is used to prefill everything

And as a bonus they will display the country code and last 3 digits of your phone number before verifying the OTP 😫 tried it a couple of times on a pubic VPN w/private window... not even a f captcha

There is an annoying issue in the latest rxvt-unicode release that dumps a bunch of encoded control sequences when you start a tmux session. It's been fixed in the main branch ("fix OSC responses with 7-bit ST") but urxvt official releases are not common so a bunch of distros are affected.

Here is a simple workaround I came up with that you can add into your .bashrc or similar meanwhile:

[ "$TERM_PROGRAM" = "tmux" ] && wait $(tmux send-keys C-u &) && reset

Weird, @Tusky 27 beta 1 is lowercasing hashtags now, is this intentional? It's a bit confusing for multiword hashtags where you want to use PascalCasing

Most of the traffic comes from botnets/vulnerability scanners. This is pretty common but I feel I should do something about it... Maybe I should implement some fail2ban rules on 400s
