SimpleMinds' "street fighting years" is an album i have had split opinions about. But today, replaying the lp on the old stereo, it's just fantastic. The lyrics are from a time where stuff mattered. The production is grandiose and not meant for scrawny phone speakers. The sound is almost cliche, but i still feel the sweeping highlands, the bleading hearts and the grey cobble. I really don't know any other album that sounds remotely like that. #music

With Russia and other states cutting global internetcables at the bottom of the sea, the need for different sorts of digital redundancy pops up. Do anybody (whos is not a bitcoin bro) think blockchain has a usecase? Sort of like scuttlebutt https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Scuttlebutt but maybe for other sorts of infrastructure? Maybe as fallback strategy?

I just installed the android app from the apk. Is there a reason the app needs complete access to the filesystem? Most apps just need access for a specific folder or select folders?
