On one side I am so happy to have a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W to play with. On the other side, updating Raspberry Pi OS takes aaaaaaaages after the first flash.
Update harder damn it, I have things I want to try!!! 😅

@MickInTx
Seeing as you are a fellow NetBird user, if I can ask, you had any luck connecting to a server on your birdNet using an android SSH client or terminal emulator?

Trying something new.
Taking notes for my courses using mkdocs.
The idea being that at the end of the year I have a searchable wiki of notes in static site format.
And should I want to do something else with the notes they are all in plain text / markdown. Well, apart from the diagrams using mermaid.js.

FYI: if you are looking for a good way to track time (freelance work, general time statistics, etc) give TimeTagger a go.
I've been using it for roughly a year now as I've had to provide time sheets for three separate entities.
Started with self hosting, but became a paid subscriber to support the project. Ended up making my own time sheet template and importing the relevant data via CSV.
VERY happy with it.

Brief aside, Netbird is magic. If you need a mesh VPN, get it.
Was a bit worried about the laptop as the screen is broken (hence its new life as a "server") and I haven't booted it for some months.
Had already set the "boot on power" flag in BIOS so plugged it in and the lights came on. Five minutes later I was SSH'd in via Netbird and back to messing around with stuff. Such a brilliant mesh VPN (and fully FOSS, unlike Tailscale). :D

Let me introduce the Super Cra(y|te)
.
An IKEA Knagglig re-purposed as an easy to move Compute Crate. Two ThinkCenter m920q's (bought refurbished, at half price), and an old laptop. All running Debian 12 and Incus for virtualization.
This what they call Scandinavian Design? 😆
Just need to get the networking side sorted.
Kinda proud and exited. 😀

Gentle intro. Got to spend a few hours collating info and setting up the learning environment etc. :)
All in all a good start.
