Big trick is to use a USB-C to Displayport adapter to connect the 2nd screen on the Thunderbolt out port – otherwise the Macbook is not having it.

A used "Lenovo ThinkPad Universal Thunderbolt 4" dock with a Thunderbolt 4 cable works. Both on a ThinkPad and a Macbook Pro (M4), with 2 4k screens at 60Hz, USB, audio, and charging.

Just saw https://compio.rs/ is a new async #rust runtime so I once again want to look into the state of this beyond-tokio-land (but instead I'll probably just wait for the @fasterthanlime article about it :D)

I am once again looking at USB-C. This time, I am looking at Thunderbolt 4 docks because enough people have them, so I can buy one used and don't need to spend 300 euros.

Got a new Osprey Nebula backpack and they saved the 20 cents for the small elastic bands to keep the straps from hanging randomly around. So after a lot of research and failing to find the actual product, my girlfriend suggested double sided Velcro tape.

Works perfectly and fixes them saving 20 cents with an investment of 20 cents.
