Some #ThrowbackThursday with an image of Longs Peak from a couple of years ago, paired with a film image selfie of me and my brother on top of Longs Peak after ascending the Keyhole Route back in the mid-1990s.

[Be sure to open the mountain image to see the full photo.]

Anyone that knows me knows I am and always have been a big fan of waterfalls. I know a lot of photographers move past waterfalls, feeling like once you've photographed one, you've photographed all - not me!

For #WaterfallWednesday I bring you Cucumber Falls in Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania. This was a summertime visit and I believe my 3rd time to the area.

A throwback to a foggy autumn morning from a few years ago.

Fog has a way of making ordinary scenes near magical. I find that true of most adverse weather conditions - fog, rain, snow, ice - all elements that turn scenes into unique landscapes that few get out and see.

Is #MonochromeMonday a thing around here? If so, here is a scene from the #Arizona desert near the Superstition Mountains.

This was supposed to be a fairly short hike, but I kept saying, just a little bit further until I'd completed the full loop!

Elakala Falls number 2 on Shay's Run in West Virginia.

I headed to this one the day before a workshop in the area. I like to do a quick visit to several areas just so I know what waterflow and conditions are like.

I typically consider this one as one we could visit on a workshop, but the access is strenuous, so most of the time the group votes not to head down to this one.

Time for my Mastodon #introduction I guess! First, to remember Mastodon only has one A in it!

Photographer friends recommended the platform, and I have been here for a few days getting a feel for the place. I am always interested in communities of photographers.

My name is Jeffrey and I am a landscape #photographer based in the #usa. I have a YouTube channel on landscape photography, lead workshops, and travel to various areas in the US.

Below are a few samples of my #landscapephotography

More from an autumn Great Smoky Mountains trip. This was an impromptu stop at an overlook en route to sunset later that evening. Clouds, mountains, and the sun acting as a spotlight of sorts...

The iconic tree photo from Kuwohi in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The weather is a lot different up here! We'd spent the majority of the day down in the streams and coves at lower elevations that day where shorts and a t-shirt sufficed for good portion of the photography.

Then we headed up to this area for sunset. WIndy and cold, had to layer up!

This is one of my favorite waterfalls in one of my frequently photographed locations. Cedar Falls in Hocking Hills, Ohio.

This was from a rainy, early morning visit. Between being early morning and rainy, that really cuts down on the size of the crowds!
