Ah, the joys of getting old. After a kinda scary day and a half seeing arc flashes forming a semicircle (vitreous humor detachment, which can lead to retina detachment if too vigorous) in my right eye several times a minute, the flashes are mostly gone. But now I have the mother of all floaters constantly registering as movement (which isn't too bad otherwise, but will be a troublesome distraction at work).
But on the bright side, now I have a gold-plated reason to wear an eyepatch. Arrrr. 😁 🏴☠️

/Not/ to say that’s the case for everyone. Just wanted to let people know it’s a painfully-real possibility to investigate… there are far too many stories of patients whose antidepressant suddenly developed intolerable side effects, became less effective or even made them crash headlong back into depression, etc… and when they trace it back, they realize it started around the same time their pharmacy gave them pills which looked different.

On lists of prior antidepressants, "Stopped working" is a sadly-common discontinuation reason.
But I've personally run into the fact that a faulty generic made at the cheapest factory overseas won't work… but another will. (And FDA "oversight" nowadays is "Hey, are your pills working?")
I'm starting to think most of the time, the AD didn't stop working at all. Insurance demanded they accept a cheaper generic, and sooner or later their pharmacy switched to the cheapest.
