It was a rare moment for me this morning, but I sipped my coffee while scrolling thru #Facebook for a bit and dear god I swear every single reel or post even dances along the “influencer” vibe now. Even the memes. Can we get back to, like, real opinions or art please? The constant “buy this, try that” feels so corporatist but I guess that's Facebook in general.

Maybe it's just me or has anyone else noticed a recent increase in the amount of users on here? Maybe more people are finally realize how awful Twitter and meta apps are. I'm hoping that's the case at least.

Today is going to be a long, depressing day. I didn't really come to terms with the reality of what's happening until this morning, and it'll probably take me quite a while to do so.

Know this though, you're safe with me, you're friends with me and you're loved by me. If you ever need a friend, someone to vent to, talk to, reach out to -- I'm here for you.

We've gotta stay committed to never letting this happen again and restoring sensibility in the future.

My anxiety has been really bad the past few days and I cannot figure out what’s going on… I think it partly has to do with projects I have for work mixed with the fact that I haven’t been able to get to personal projects that I want to see done (ie: writing, reading, etc).

On that second one — I think my mind is building constructive roadblocks that don’t let me get to my personal projects until my work projects get done. Is that weird? It’s some sort of self-torture mixed with guilt.

Hey hey -- welcome to 2025. I might be a bit late on that welcome, but either way I hope you had a great and safe #nye. For me, I hung out with some friends at a local bar in Oshkosh and spent the night there. I haven't drank like that in probably 2 or 3 years, and definitely don't plan on it again for another 2 or 3 years. woof. I can't hang anymore haha.

Today has felt like the longest Monday ever. My mind is already in vacation mode even though we just had a shortened week. Gotta be how these last two weeks are.

Hope everyone's holiday was jolly and full of joy. Mine went pretty good, spent the week at my mom's house in southern Wisconsin with family and good fixings. Now I'm heading back home.

It's strange how, just a few years ago, I never saw myself ever coming back to my mom's place. We had a huge falling out and I stopped talking to her and my sister for a long period of time. I'd like to think our relationship is on the up and up, but time will tell.

If you're going to share an AI image on social media (specifically Facebook), I think it's our duty as humans to clarify that it is AI generated. There are so many people falling for fake images so easily that my head hurts from shaking.

Of course, that won't happen. But it would be nice if media sites would ask you before posting "is this an AI image?"

Just got back from the gym. Yep. The gym. The place that I said I’d never join because of judge mental people with workout academia eyes. Always critiquing your form or what you’re doing or looking for a chance to hit on you even though you’re like no dude stop just stop. No.
