I'm a lightweight on #Docker, but I've got a #Traefik container that I want access to all the "custom" networks on my host.
The problem is, the last 'apt update && apt full-upgrade' on my #Debian #Linux server included docker, and it seems to have broken my environment.
As Traefik comes up, it will successfully attach with one of the networks, then try to attach to a second network and fail because it attempts to apply the default route from the first network to the second.
Bug or feature?

cat /proc/net/sockstat
shows low socket and memory use. cat /proc/net/dev
shows no errors or drops. iftop -I <vpn interface>
shows my throughput for both TX and RX to be in the bits (b) per second. htop
shows my memory and cpu usage at absolute minimums.
I can even diagnose this now.

Alright, so I've got a vexing #linux #network problem that I cannot figure out.
I have a computer that runs #debian testing. In the past I have run #OpenVPN without issue, this evening I experimented with #Wireguard, both now result in the same issue:
The second I bring up anything that transacts with the VPN, my networking connections to this computer severely lag. To the point that ping shows a response time of ~9000ms. Even if there's no active connections to listening ports...

Reading and listening to coverage about the murder of #BrianThompson, I don't get a lot of content about the victim, but a lot about why nobody is surprised he was killed.
I'm reminded of the "Thank you very much" scene from 1970s movie #Scrooge

I found this article elsewhere in #mastodon: https://www.ecoticias.com/en/voyager-1-thruster-clogging-dilemma/6837/#space
I have long categorized myself as a #SoftwareEngineer versus a #SoftwareDeveloper based on how i go about solving problems.
[#]NASA is doing actual software engineering.
I've been figuring out to get information from a database to a webpage, and maybe vise-versa for over two decades.
I'm a software developer.

The one thing I use all the time in Mozilla is sending tabs from my other devices (work computers included) to my personal computer.
Is there a [Ungoogled] Chromium counterpart?
The only thing that keeps me using #Vivaldi is the current version''s inability to not use https sites. I have one service that, for "reasons." is just easier to use as a http (aka. not encrypted), but Vivaldi seems to ignore the fact that the "Always use Secure Connection (HTTPS)" is unchecked in the settings.

I kinda love-hate this.
As a long running #Firefox user that eschewed other browsers because Firefox just worked for me, I tried an experiment of using #UnGoogledChromium, #OperaBrowser, and #Vivaldi
UngoogledChromium, coupled with a handful of standard extensions is fantastic - even better than my Mozilla experience. Hats off to the Ungoogled Chromium contributors.
Opera lasted about a minute given I can only hide the #AI option, not delete and disable it.
I think I'm switching browsers...

And to keep going, where is the #KDEConnect equivalent on my Mac?
I want to send a photo to my work Mac because I know the credentials necessary to make such a connection. 🦗
For my #linux pc? Done and done.

My daily driver is linux+KDE, my work issued hardware is MacOS.
Once upon a time I would have admired how delightfully my Apple hardware just worked.
In 2024, I admire how far #Linux has come. For example.,..
If I stop using my headphones on MacOS, I must make sure to turn them off first, or I'll have to re-pair. After that, I can plug them in to recharge.
The same brand and model on my Linux box? Just plug start recharging (severing the Bluetooth connection) and everything will just work.

Sitting behind me, I have a DIY rack adaptable mount(^1) for 9 #arm based SBCs running stuff I find useful on #kubernetes (this is on you @geerlingguy)
I started with kubernetes, then went to #hashicorp nomad, then back to kubernetes,. Recently I started playing with #portainer for some specific needs.
Portainer on my #homelab has been fantastic, but it points out all the rabbit holes I have yet to explore.
And I have kids...
^1 Now all I need is real server rack
