Some strong words of advice:

We are fighting against a coup. Act like it.

No more euphemisms. Key phrases: "they lie ...", "it's a coup ...", "absolutely not qualified".

The next D that says "reach across the aisle" needs to get punched. We should be putting up sandbags and tank traps to protect ourselves from the aisle.

The only vote for the next 4 years needs to be "No".

Hang the Project 2025 document around the neck of every official and R.

Muskox today confirmed what many suspected, by using a Nazi salute on stage at the inauguration. There should be no doubt about his fascist beliefs.

While Drümpf supporters may not be surprised, this should be a clear sign for any stock holders in Muskox's companies or owners of his products.

Those who should be most ashamed are the tech bros on stage with Drümpf and Muskox. They literally paid to be there. Leon's salute is now on them. Shame on Bezos, Zuck, Pichai and Cook.

Lots of emotions today. Unfortunately, that’s what Drümpf and his jackboots want.

My goal for the next while is to call out the issues/problems/indecencies in as concise terms as possible. Still be super critical, but less dramatic. Don’t minimize or normalize, don’t obey in advance. Don’t take the troll bait.

The flip side, when there are jokes to make and opportunities to laugh at the clowns — double down.

Hit them with facts and critical analysis, sucker punch them with humor.

My son goes to UCLA. He’s scarily close to where the fires are. He’s safe but it’s nerve wracking for us to watch from afar.

I installed the #watchduty app to have a better sense of what’s going on, as the MSM renderings are poor approximations. I’m very impressed with the UX of the app. It conveys a lot of information but does it well. This is a startup but they are also a non-profit.

These are the right tools. I hope they can continue without getting enshittified.

There’s been so much discussion about immigrants lately. The irony is that, unless you are Native American, you are a descendant of immigrants.

I’m first generation American. My parents were born in Latvia and fled the country during WW II. I was raised to believe in hardwork and education. I appreciate that immigrants, legal or not, work hard to make a new life for themselves.
