I don't think they have any intention of ceding power in four years, I think project 2025 is all about dismantling checks and balances on their power and I think Trump said at one of his rallies once "you won't have to vote again"

I don't think the climate crises that are heading out way will necessarily be bad for the ultra wealthy. In fact I think it could be very good for them. People in a more precarious situation, with more scarcity and dependencies are easier to control.

I have the intuition that it's actually not that difficult.

People leak their intentions all the time, they tell on themselves.

Loosely speaking, the way to tell someone is a bad person, is that they brag about it.

What they really care about isn't necessarily what they respond to when pressed, but it's what they are putting energy towards and what they are taking risks for.

Thinking about this asymmetry in power when someone lies.

If A is lying to B, A knows A is lying to B and B doesn't.

A also has time to predict how B will react to finding out they were being duped

They can also think about what leverage B has, what consequences they can deal to A and how to minimise their ability to do so in advance.
