I've been getting Linux booting on my crappy Allwinner A13 tablet, thanks to the linux-sunxi wiki. While the instructions on the wiki are sometimes not clear, I've been pushing through anyways. So far I got U-Boot, an old sunxi-3.4 kernel and Arch Linux running on it, but haven't had enough time to play around with it yet.

Finally after some fiddling, I got port forwarding on my modem working, turns out: the ISP blocks ports 22-23 (SSH and Telnet respectively). I may get a BBS running one of these days.

P.S. The ISP might be blocking more ports, I haven't checked yet.

Edit: Just changing the ports to 2323 for example works, even if it's a slight inconvenience

My phone is full of pictures of extremely nice landscapes I took while on trips/beach/whatever to then make into wallpapers and put them on my website. Maybe even tweak them slightly with Darktable or something.

Experimenting with postmarketOS with QEMU recently, since the phone I had ported pmOS to has a dead battery at the moment. I should start looking into ways to revive that phone.

I would do a dd backup but I don't have another 1TB or more drive. Gparted says "Partition Table: None" but the partition is there, with the correct amount of data used and the label I gave it (TeraByte) but mounting it fails.

To make matters worse, a Windows 10 PC says the drive is completely unformatted, thus I can't use chkdsk on it

Fediverse, Help me!

My PC running EndeavourOS crashed while trying some Steam games, with my external 1TB SSD plugged in and mounted (The SSD doesn't hold the games though). After a reboot and trying to mount it says "wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock, missing codepage or helper program, or other error", Repairing the disk using Gnome Disks didn't help with it just saying "failed to read vcn 0xd" and ntfsfix said the same thing.
