The #Switch2 rumored “C” button doesn't look like a peer to the home/capture buttons. It’s a little more shallow, and seems to have a slightly different texture. What if it’s like an evolution of the old ThinkPad nub things for when you want to control a cursor outside of using detached JoyCon mouse mode?

[#]Nintendo is starting to feel a bit like a new corporate entity. I previously would have put more money on them calling it the “Nintendo Switcheroo”, but they’ve become less predictable (by becoming more predictable) this past decade.

It’s not that I think we’ll hear about #Switch2 in January. It would line up with a few historical big announcements, but it’s really that I want to hear about it in January.
My hope is for an early Spring release, and I don’t logistically see that happening for a console with less than 2 months lead time for retailers.
It’s one thing to see all of these accessory manufacturer leaks, but I haven’t seen any retailer leaks yet. That’s starting to make an early Spring launch seem less likely.

I think this chart is a good picture of the upward creep of development timelines as hardware has advanced for graphics and audio. The artistic requirements to make a AAA game have climbed considerably.
Not to mention that Nintendo’s hardware has stayed behind the cutting edge intentionally since at least the Wii.
