TIL that FreeBSD supports soft reboot via sudo reboot -r :dragnaww:
This is necessary when I want just to reboot all machinery from init levels 1 to 3 (restart daemons, userspace programs, remount all filesystems, etc) and don't want to do power cycle, restart libreboot and kernel.

Whoops! Looks like I've updated to 14.2 too early — 14.1 EOL will be at March 2025 :dragngrimace:
So, the text terminal and the properly working boot log will arrive after that date, when I will be able to update drm-kmod to the version, built for 14.2

URL to the "Solarized Light.prc" file is below.
The Butterfly application should be installed first, before loading this file to Palm.
I tested it ONLY ON MY Palm Tungsten E2! I'm NOT GUARANTEE what it will work and don't do any harm to your device!
At least, the binary data from this file may be used to modify your own "Theme Name.prc" file, generated in the Butterfly app and downloaded from the Palm.

Ported Solarized Light theme to Palm OS. It was easy with the Butterfly app (https://palmdb.net/app/butterfly). Just change the colors with it, then upload the theme's PRC file to the PC, edit the color values to be more precise and download the PRC file back to the Palm. Then reload it again with Butterfly.
Of course, this theme has it's limitations, because of device screen, but at least it looks like Solarized Light :dragnloaf:

After that I found a gem — SingleFile (https://github.com/gildas-lormeau/SingleFile) extension for Firefox. It can store entire web page to the damn big HTML file, with embedded images, CSS and so on.
But this HTML file can be opened in almost every device with web browser! :dragnaww:

Spent some time looking for a simple solution to save web pages from (for example) PalmDB, because there is no guarantee what this resource will be available in the future.
Wget — cool, but stores a lot of small files on my HDD.
Then I tried WARC — a WaybackMachine format. Also cool, but seems not to have been designed for standalone use. There are no standalone viewer or simple Firefox plugins "Save to WARC" and "Open WARC file"🤷♂️

Went crazy and reduced the main page of my blog from 222.45 Kb to 89.31 Kb :dragnloaf:
Just replaced the big Font Awesome bundle with TWO svg images, removed the "Hack" monospace font to let the browser use the default font. Recoded the image in the header to webp and not use "print ready" 300 dpi resolution image on the website :dragnsarc:
Time to wait for my PR approval and then I'll get my 512kb.club green button :dragnaww:

Oh fuck, looks like right now one "three-letter agency" fucked up Internet in Russia. Most of TCP connections to the outer world are gone. Most of my stego-tunnels fucked up too.
I"m able to connect only via one forgotten tunnel with not so very hideous protocol of censorship evasion.

I found a good enough MP3/FLAC/OGG tags editor — picard (https://picard.musicbrainz.org/). It supports tag editing, albums cover editing, retrieving metadata from musicbrainz and a simple enough interface.
It's funny enough, but I didn't manage to make it work with musicbrainz😄 — it just doesn't log in, so there's no automatic metadata retrieval. Fortunately, my music catalog is not that big, so it is possible to fix tags/album covers by hand.

Swiftly moved my repositories from GitHub to CodeBerg. I'm not a designer, so I can't articulate what exactly Forgego/CodeBerg designers did right, but interface is extremely clean compared to GitHub interface.
For example, repo view uses more horizontal space, there is no right column with half of unnecessary elements (README icon, activity (wtf?) link, duplicate forks/stars qty, etc), there are fewer tabs by default, etc.

Went to the local hackspace to play some "old school" games, especially Quake.
I didn't play online in Quake 2 before (don't have an Internet 24 years ago), just played the single-player campain endlessly. So, to try it, I joined some guys with Q2 server on the Windows XP.
Playing such an old game on the 2K display without scaling and with the old ball mouse was ... kinda funny :dragnhappy:

TIL that Google forbids to use FOSS client K9-Mail to be used with Gmail — they showing notification about "malicious software" and account "safety"🤡
And that create passkey for GMail via the Librewolf/Gentoo is impossible too. Google writes what operationg system "insecure"🤡 and "browser not in support list like Chrome"🤡
BTW, why Google forces me to buy Bluetooth dongle to "enable Bluetooth" on my PC box?🤡

There is a "uses pages" movement in the smol web, where people describe the tools they use.
Usually there are a few lines about software and computer hardware in use.
But I went deeper and wrote uses page not only about HW/SW but about my locksmith tools, about tools for electronics DIY and so on. :dragnloaf:

The CloudFlare feature to block "AI" bots from scraping my website is good, but it doesn't block all bots.
So, I started to block the whole organizations where these bots come from and pass the CloudFlare filters.
Just go to the "Security->WAF->Custom Rules" and tap "Create rule". And create a rule to block the necessary AS.
