if you want to check it out i played spoons and did some electronic improv with my friends at qu33rbait for one of their recent shows. its a parody of a jubilee video with a lot of goofs and whatnot as performed in a Massachusetts basement

megalopolis is a movie that wishes it understood what unitary urbanism is and instead tries to do apolitical psychogeography while jerking off a copy of fountainhead, but we get to see Aubrey Plaza dom so its hard to say if its good or bad

think im going to make a special page on my site with just the basics / things ive learned while using #bespokeSynth as my only music creation tool for the past year and a bit. ive had a page on my site for a while¹, but it has been a stub for ages that isnt something i find useful to check or update
if you've ever used bespoke what are things you wished you knew when starting or questions you havent answered for yourself on how to do certain things? id love to hear what other people's experience with it has been like

obligatory project spider pic. This is played with my midi keyboard with the pads controlling the bass arp and the keys controlling the 2 other synths in the cluster on the left, the right is just a bunch of drum stuff plus a thing that disables delay on the snare in the loop periodically

here's something I was working on a while back that I think will be a late addition to the album. This is a performance I did while explaining the construction of the piece to a friend that I liked the execution of, not the final mix.
there's a lot of buildup so u can start it at 1:06

this isnt unique to bespoke and is kind of a byproduct of any workflow that attempts to replicate modular synthesis as an abstraction rather than the grid of the daw, but bespoke is what I use so thats where I encounter this small piece of the joy of creating electronic music

a big thing I love about bespokes workflow is that unless I go around and turn off all of the things generating sound the music keeps going. using a traditional DAW kinda feels stoppy starty in comparison. The creation of the sound and the hearing become disconnected actions like setting up dominos and watching them fall. I like that adding something to my song in progress immediately affixes an imperfect sketch of a sound to the already playing tapestry of my project.
