The advantage of modular laptop (like the Framework 13):
Wanted to switch to WiFi 7 (a free new 6 GHz frequency) — ordered a new WiFi card on AliExpress for €20 and replaced it in 5 minutes.
By the way, the MT7925 works great on Linux and AMD processors.
Replaceable WiFi cards aren’t a unique feature of the Framework. It used to be a standard (just like upgrading RAM in a laptop).
But marketers, in their weird chase for thinness, have made WiFi card replacement a rare feature nowadays.

Marjane Satrapi, the creator of Persepolis, refuses France’s highest award because of France’s hypocritical visa policy—one that blocks young Iranian dissidents from fleeing to Europe but doesn’t stop Iranian oligarchs’ kids.
Exactly the same thing Russian people see when European borders is open for Putin’s oligarchs, but not for my grandmother to visit her grandson.

I was surprised at how polished and high-quality Home Assistant for open source project.
For example, they already have their own voice assistant to turn off lights by voice. And there you can even connect a local LLM.

I am currently building a smart home on Home Assistant. I’m tired of closed smart homes like Google. They don't work well, and device support is limited.
I get Frient Electricity LED 2, to count LED flashes on the electric meter and gives them to Home Assistant. Very satisfied.
The first graph of the third photo is the with electricity consumption. The dotted spikes are the kettle turning on.
As you can easily see we love tea.

pnpm 10 turned off implicit postinstall in npm dependencies, and it is very good for security.
And at BlueSky, the Yarn team announced that they're going to do the same.

The blog post by Figma’s engineer about why it became popular contains an important idea why you should think about the sync engine on the product’s early stages.
Adobe failed to add collaborative editing not because it’s hard, but because it’s hard to do in an existing product.
