Tomorrow is December 1st and so I put up the decorations for Christmas.

(The Ugly Gnome!)

Tonight to celebrate we had dinner with focaccia and bacon and also dessert.

The cat Picù is complaining, of course, because she has to wait another twenty minutes for her dinner to be served... but all in all...well...just for tonight...life is beautiful.

They say, I worry about animals more than humans.

Well, yes, that's true.

Humans are directly responsible for the slaughter that happens and those who are not responsible have the advantage of knowing what's going on.

Animals don't.

For animals it's just a cataclysm, a terrible and sudden danger, absolute panic with no escape route, often death. For no fucking reason other than that they share the planet with an invasive species of crazy apes.

This #Caturday I'm worried sick about Syrian cats.

A couple of days ago I found some leftover yard I had completely forgotten about...

I didn't really know what to make with that yarn, it wasn't even really that good...in fact those were leftovers from the very first bundles of yarn I bought many years ago to try and learn how to crochet.

So I started crocheting well...this thing, whatever it is for fun.

The "thing" is growing! 😄

Oh, by the way, my personal opinion is that one madman in charge of a huge nuclear arsenal is more than enough for this poor world we live in. There's no need to have two madmen with their respective insane amounts of nukes, right?

...ok, the winter hat experiment is done!

A bit of trial and error but in the end I made two hats. 😃

One is prettier (there is a pom pom!)

The other is for everyday use.

I like them! They are comfortable and warm.

The great quest for the perfect winter hat is still ongoing...

Maybe I've gotten a little carried away. 😁

So far I've made two hats, neither of which have anything to do with my original project, but this... this is promising...

Of course Picia, the cat, is helping, she is very supportive, alternatively trying to catch the hook and sleeping.
