I'd like to call for all news agencies in Canada who benefit from our tax dollars to keep them afloat to remove all paywalls and subscriptions and tracking from any item they publish about our upcoming election, the political parties or leaders, or the issues at stake.
a) Our tax dollars already pay for this.
b) You'd be hard-pressed to find a better definition of the public's need to know.

Doug Ford moved a lot of Service Ontario operations into Staples stores. Why? Now they're non-union jobs.
Ford blew an enormous amount of our money to fast-track wine and beer into corner stores? LCBO and The Beer Store are union jobs. Some Beer Store locations are already closing.
If seeing Amazon pull out of Quebec because they unionized pisses you off, remember that Doug Ford is a union-buster, too.

Remember about six months ago when everyone was debating what "dictator" means, whether he'd be one, how silly the whole thing is, yada yada?
This is what it means. He's ruling by fiat. He says it, they do it. He signs it, it becomes law. He's bypassing the entire government structure. That's what dictators do.
I hope a few of those who had downplayed all this are starting to feel sick to their stomachs--moreso than the rest of us already are.

Some years aho, the difference between the two pills in Day/Night cold & flu stuff was just some caffeine in the daytime pills to combat the drowsiness.
I learned yesterday, that's not so anymore.
Look closely. The day and night pills address different symptoms.
I was dying all day at work yesterday, because I tool daytime pills. But they don't address runny nose anymore. Today I've taken nightime pills (and supplemend my own caffeine), and I'm doing great.

Ugh. I work in a forward-facing role, and sometimes people decide I'm a good audience when they want to hold forth on their opinions. Sometimes they're good, often they're not. Sometimes they're informed, often they're not.
I try to hold it in, be a good little soldier. But some days the mask slips, and I try to educate. Sometimes it comes right off, and I flat-out tell them they're wrong and why.
So don't come up to me saying you understand how DEI has been a bad thing /1
