Has anyone tested #IntelArc #Battlemage on #Linux yet? I can't find anything about that on Youtube and while I am sure Level1Linux will make a great video soon I am just so fucking curious, especially considering Intels fantastic track record when in comes to Linux drivers!

I might have to try how far the internal search of various tech media outlets gets me and collect news of each funding round when it broke because search engines and AI tools won't help me with that no matter which I try and the shitty investment sites all claim different things... I might have overdone it with the topic for my first blog post in years but I really want something to point to for FOSS projects relying on this shitty app and I want to back it up with sources! 😅

Sometimes I do feel the limits of #gnome! I use the hot corner a lot and for that the Dash's position is kind of ass so I looked around for a way to just move it to the right, ideally at the top right. Apparently there is no setting or extension for that unless I use a Dock which I don't want, why can't basic stuff like that be a setting or at least in Tweaks? :/

@tazgetroete Hoffe ich störe nicht, wollt nur mahl kurz fragen obs das alte Website design noch gibt oder ob das ganz ersetzt worden ist. Ich lese zwar meistens am Handy und da war die alte seite alles andere als optimal aber ich vermisse die Kategorien auf der startseite und generell die chronologische Anordnung von Kategorien.

I try to figure out if Tencent is part of round A or B because some of the sources I found contradict each other there...

I fell in love with the #Obsidian note taking app! I don't really get the "second brain" aspect (at least yet) but I really like it as a markdown note taking app, it just perfectionist that experience. Yes, it's not open source and that might annoy some people but a small team that dose great work and doesn't try to force you into their ecosystem isn't anything bad in my opinion even if the app is closed source!

This question might sound stupid to people with more knowledge about the technical details but could there be a way to implement the code sharing #Flatpak dose for dependencies to system packages? As far as I understand it doesn't effect security but allows for a smaller storage footprint than Appimages because different versions of dependencies don't duplicate everything.

I love that #Gnome now has accent colors and even more that it's a agreed standard between DEs but am I the only one who would like more color in #Libadwaita apps now? Don't get me wrong, I love how fantastic Libadwaita looks but this proposal makes me wish for a slight redesign or a more colorful option especially in apps like Nautilus! I am no designer and have no clue how to implement it well so take it with a grain of salt, I just think it would be awesome! :)

This #AskFedi goes out to the #Linux and #Gnome community, is there a way to make global shortcuts work on Gnome with Wayland? I try to do some tests with OBS rn and I even switched back to X11 for it after over a year on Wayland but the screen tearing is so terrible, I would rather record without shortcuts than deal with it!
