Check out this great video from Samuel Edwards, I'm so glad it exists. Through my entire playthrough of Tears of the Kingdom, I was fascinated by the improved sound design compared to the previous game. ToTK is filled with beautiful sounds that fit in so well you forget they're fabricated. In a game with such sparse music the sound effects carry a lot more of the weight of immersion. #totk #zelda #nintendo #sounddesign

Scene: It’s 40F and dark out, I’m going a few blocks over in the city to get takeout. I’m riding my onewheel, bundled up and wearing a full face helmet to keep the wind out. There’s a group of middle aged white guys walking in the middle of the road, and I pass them, nothing that unusual. But then, one calls out in a voice dripping with sarcasm: “Saving the environment??”

Ok buddy, let me take 10x as long to DRIVE over there through the city and also give up my prized street parking spot. What gets me the most is that “saving the environment” is actually a punchline to some people… #onewheel #environment

Y’know, if Apple wanted to, they could just make magnetic controllers that snap to the landscape sides of the iPhone, like joycons. There’s enough awkward third-party phone controllers to warrant it, no? #iPhone #gaming #Apple

I think the “parking lot sunset” phenomenon (where people say beautiful sunsets are oddly common in parking lots) is a sad reflection of how much time people spend in parking lots.
