I went to see the optometrist who had been filling my eyeglasses prescription ever since I graduated from college. When the little campus mall her optical shop was in burned down, she transferred to a building a block away. I hadn't seen her in two years, but passed by today to have my eyes checked so I could have new glasses made. She showed me these cute pink metal cat eye half frames, so I picked those, and will claim them next Tuesday.

In a local beauty community group chat I learned that online selling of cosmetics as ''mall pullouts'' is currently a thing. But a brand reached out to the group chat admin and said that there was no such thing as ''mall pullouts'' and that these items were from store pilferage, meaning they are stolen goods. So it is better to buy cosmetics for less from transparent official store sales, rather than face the karma of buying stolen goods.

The prize I won from a Globe Kmmunity contest in my Titas of BTS group last Christmas was delivered just before dinner! I received 5 boxes of Chingu Cafe drinks - caramel latte, vanilla latte, peach iced tea, green grape-ade and strawberry lemonade. These are the kinds of drinks in retort packs you find in Korean convenience stores, which you add a lot of ice to. I shared with my staff. Will try a drink tomorrow. The Pixie approves!

LOL!!! Ninong Ry is a hoot. Gordon Ramsay is here and meeting up with all the local food influencers. He already approved of Lumpia Queen Abi Marquez's beef wellington lumpia. Ninong Ry has always been funny, but I love this interaction.

Just came from the barangay office after barangay security viewed our CCTV. Last night someone tried to cut and steal our power lines but our security guard chased them away. Since it was quite dark they couldn't identify the culprit but we are taking steps to prevent people from sneaking in on bicycles (because they can't be heard) at night. By the way this is not the first time an attempt has been made.

I bought a bottle of Dominant Industry Autumn Forest recently. It was a knee-jerk reaction to finding out that the pinkish shimmer seen in the socmed images for Wearingeul Secret Garden doesn't show in real life (which is why I didn't buy it). I haven't inked a pen with it yet, but I might use my TWSBI Eco B. (I still have a lot of inked pens, so it will be a while.) But I am loving the way it looks in Mike of @inkdependence 's review.

I left the house early this morning to do errands and meetings, and forgot my phone at home. I actually got a lot done and felt kind of free and untethered, if you know what I mean. Now I am back at my home office, feeling quite pleased. Of course there will be times I cannot afford to leave my phone at home but today was pretty epic.
