Only just over two weeks after publishing Chris Boardman saying bike rant stories are harmful and disproportionate, The Guardian is back to berating cyclists for riding without bells and going faster than "appropriate speed" on a cycleway that people can walk on (which is almost all of them). Isn't the real problem that good routes are too narrow and too few, so get overcrowded? (What is an inappropriate speed anyway? Phallus mph?)

Does anyone know what the 48 in "#RoyalMail Tracked 48" signifies? It ain't the typical delivery time in hours. Even the official description says it takes "2-3 days". Is it their record fastest?
I'm really enjoying their chaos-based timing updates: their first guess was 12:10-16:10 today (5 days after despatch, on a "48" service) and they updated that today to 07:30-19:30. That update was at 10:29 today, so I think they could probably have excluded 07:30-10:29...

Is there a view of followed accounts on #mastodon which shows everyone's last post? Ideally, last non-boost post. Else I may have to add more people to my "noisy" list ๐

I no longer trust whether my scanner-printer is displaying an "out of paper" error because the sheet feeder is toast or it simply dislikes being asked to print in greyscale. How fixable are sheet feeders on these things anyway? Otherwise, suggestions for a new Linux-ready UK-available printer? Scanner probably not so needed now with good camera phones. #linux #printer

This seems like a pretty good summary.
