Are there any #bike mechanics on #BikeTooter who can answer a question? When I built my bike, I put mechanical 105 R7000 gear on it (along with the mid-90s Shimano 600 rim brakes it came with). As things wear out, are the cable pulls the same as Ultegra R8000, meaning that I could upgrade the shifters and derailleurs piecemeal?

A lot of people, including me, are going to be stressed the fuck out for a WHILE and figuring out how to manage that. One tiny way is to unfollow people who post things that stress you out. If somebody (maybe me!) unfollows you, try not to take it personally! It's hard out here! Sorry!

I still haven't made an #introduction post on this server because who I am and what I do has fundamentally changed in the last two years and describing myself accurately feels foreign and weird.
