I am hungry but I do not want to eat another tin of sardines in tomato sauce.

I think I am hungry for vegetables.

2 days ago I had red cabbage and carrot coleslaw, and some cherry tomatoes. The day before that I had broccoli and mushrooms. The day before that I had zucchini/courgette with mushrooms and tomatoes. Am I supposed to eat vegetables every day?

To split the cost of fuel, about 40 years ago, 5 of us drove 3 hours on a prairie highway through a winter blizzard, with snow drifting across the road like flowing water.

The cops were closing the road behind us. None of us could afford a motel, so we kept rolling.

I was counting the many seconds that we couldn't see the road, let alone the lines painted on the road.😱

It's a good thing the roads are straight as a ruler because we were driving 100 kmh.

If news media absolutely must quote politicians who still post on that former-$44-billion social-media site, why do they also link to it?

I assume visits to that site generate advertising revenue for them. I don't want to contribute to their advertising impressions.

Birmingham was TOTALLY IT, LIT, THE SHIT, etc.

Spent the day, from 11am to 7pm.

We scooted all over town:

• B'ham Museum & Art Gallery.

• B'ham Library's Photo Collection.

• Greggs for lunch.

• IKON gallery exhibit.

• Canal & River Trust canals.

• National Trust's back-to-backs.

• Chinatown for tofu + pork sausage.

• LGBT pubs: Fox, Loft, Fountain.

Definitely going back.

The train delays are forgotten.

Today:

1. I saw the Garfield Pugh movie this afternoon. If pressed for an opinion, I'd say it was fine, with interesting, nuanced politics.

2. I ate tomatoes, so I didn't forget to ingest vegetables entirely. – No, don't tell me tomatoes are a fruit.

3. I shaved in the evening, in preparation for tomorrow morning. Tomorrow I'll have 5 o'clock shadow in the morning, and I'm fine with that.

I may have become adult.

I am sick, and I didn't want to be the guest that coughs and leaks at the dinner table.

I am missing Christmas and that's OK.

Last week a friend gave me a book on grief, which he wrote. Yesterday, something popped into my head that I wanted to tell my dad, but then I remembered he died. And this week every show I started streaming involved death and grief.
