Some days it’s really hard to make sure you’re putting one foot in front of the other to improve your community.

Other days it’s extra hard.

The destruction of the Green Line.

The massive increase in pedestrian deaths.

The abdication of making good housing policy in favour of FUD around change.

2025 is a challenge. So, I have to remind myself that tomorrow we have to aim to take another step forward.

Rather glad you can turn off showing the contact photo circle beside emails in iOS 18.2. Especially when 99% of the email you get has an auto generated categorization photo.

City of Calgary just released some details on population growth with their budget presentations.

In 2023 - Calgary added 76,000 folks - or the city of Medicine Hat.

Since 2019, the population has grown 10.7%

Revenue into the city, inflation adjusted has been down 1.5%.

Currently the forecasts see Calgary growing from 1.42M to 1.61M by 2029.

Yesterday I pieced together... don't put the qemu-guest-agent on a bare metal Talos node. This will cause it to time out booting and reboot after an hour or so which is guaranteed to cause some chaos eventually.

If you do want to bookmark one, be sure to make sure the bookmark does NOT have the URL encoded version of the comma or it will 404.
