Update on the second sunflower sprout: someone ate the top off of this one (and pulled em out by the roots, probably in the process), but again, at least they got to experience sunlight and earth for a while. I found some more seeds in the bin that were just beginning to sprout, and flung them to a different spot they seemed drawn to. Maybe someone will make it. Note that the previous sprout, though limp, is still green and alive-ish in the upper left of the photo.

Zelle isn’t going to work through its own app anymore after March, but my credit union doesn’t do Zelle. Anybody have a good—maybe online-only—bank or credit union that uses Zelle, so I could have it as a second account just for sending and receiving money with people who use Zelle? I like anything that does good for the world, or at least is stalwart against enshittification.

What’s a good photography and/or nature instance? Got an amateur-photographer friend who’s thinking of leaving Instagram for Mastodon. She’s touch-and-go about new things but committed once settled, so I’d like to suggest a good, stable instance to make a transition easy. I already told her about alt text, which she seems on board with. 🤞🏼 She’s in Western Washington State, but location matters less than the experience being good for a Mastodon newbie.
