Nice to see the The Dublin Data Protection Commission getting all over Deep Seek with such speed. Maybe they'll finally get round to thinking about maybe starting to consider having a look at Google, Meta, Amazon etc now? (not holding my breath).

I think Nvidia will come out ahead after the deep seek shenanigans play out.

If Deep Seek is a winning approach many more players can join (so many more smaller sales), if it isn't then its back to the big players cornering the market. Either way Nvidia has a market (maybe not as big as 2024 but big enough)

Honestly its OpenAI etc who are most at risk.

@jasongorman @baldur

We have been told for a couple of years now that "Our LLM can write an entire website with a few good prompts".

As this would obviously be great advertising to showcase its power I assumed that the leading LLM providers would have migrated their websites over and would be crowing about it.

Are there any?

How many use cases now remain where green #Hydrogen is the best fit? Batteries keep edging it out as costs plummet and energy density shoots up. Trains, trucks and automobiles all look like batteries are best. Same for short to medium range shipping and probably same for short to medium flight? Moving power around will probably end up via HVDC (especially with superconductors coming along).

Some industrial processes? Iron, fertiliser?

Still a candidate for seasonal load shifting?

Honestly didn't know how badly non-competes are abused these days.

Sadly unsurprised though.

Beats a new gas plant (though that is still on the cards I believe) .

Interesting but I wonder what the local ecological impact of frequently rising and falling reservoirs is? TANSTAAFL applies to all these solutions.
