There's a subtle but important change in the new extended keyboard with USB-C from Apple.

The fn 🌐 key is now to the bottom left. In replacement they added a new key for “ctrl+click”.

The reason for this HAS to be the new keyboard shortcuts for moving windows in macOS since they're now using the globe (fn 🌐) for that.

This also makes the layout equal to laptop keyboards.

This also means shorter ⌘ cmd, ⌥ opt and ⌃ ctrl keys which is the only downside.

You could say they releasing it later not for the languages but for the regulatory concerns but that doesn’t explain why Spanish is not available sooner then, since Spanish is spoken in 90% of Latin America.

Same with French, which is spoken in a lot of countries outside the EU.

If this is true, it seems fairly evident to me that Apple used the European regulatory restrictions as an excuse.

They could never have launched in Europe without the basic languages of European countries.

The fact that they will release it at the same time they have Apple intelligence ready in other languages makes it clear that regulatory concerns was just an excuse.

A couple of posts were deleted that I did not want to, but no big deal.

Please forgive me for making you scroll like crazy and see all that spam.

I never coded in Python but I've coded enough to understand the script. I'm amazed by how fun and interesting this little thing was with ChatGPT.

Computers are amazing (but also stupid!)

The script is meant to delete all posts from a specific day, deletes 30 posts, waits 30 minutes and does it again and so and so…

ChatGPT provided me the script, the instructions to run it on my mac, all the parts I needed to fill (tokens, secret keys etc)

I did that, the script had a couple of issues that after a couple of iterations I managed to solve either both with ChatGPT's help and not. (it started deleting posts from my timeline, not my posts xD)

And by last night it did it all!

Storytime.

Yesterday an automation on activepieces.com that publishes a toot when I release a new episode of my podcast went nuts and published about 300 posts. It consumed my entire monthly quota.

I'm sorry if you were affected by the unintentional spamming.

So, now I needed to delete +300 posts. Also Mastodon limits delete actions to 30 each 30 minutes.

So I asked ChatGPT to build me a script that did that.

Hey @caseyliss I was trying to change callsheet’s icon and it won’t change.

Everything goes well in the flow, it shows the changed icon message, but the icon is not changed.

Tried restarting the app, tried it again, didn’t do it. Could it be a bug?
