Cancelling subscriptions is a low-level thrill. You feel free of them and think of money saved. Amazon (again) and Netflix are gone now. On Netflix, we were only watching Friday Night Dinner, which I'm sure we can find elsewhere, and The Night Agent, which is too cheeseballs, we're fans of proper spy stories. Netflix has become so cheesy it's difficult to find something to watch. Leaving Transphobia enablers is great too, for me the motivation is being free of these recurring payments tbh.

Changed the floorp browser icon to the icon for Chrome (Thorium) so as not to confuse family! Tried waterfox, Privacy Badger extension would not install, connection error (don't know why but it was enough just to move on) LibreWolf being weird with "key pinning failure"? I moved on. ATM:

Priorities: moving on from Google - wasn't comfortable with Chromium, and privacy but + usability. To me (IMO) Thorium doesn't have a great speed advantage now.

If you're going to argue for giving up progressive and equality ideas because Trump, you say, "has won" - firstly, don't be so sure, it's going to be an absolute sh*t show in lots of different ways.
Secondly, if we do, I'm not even sure what we're doing anymore and that "pack up and go home" politics is defeatist and in fact circles back - because you've put on the brakes and gone backward - to Conservatism.

The thing about the argument from Tom Walker/Jonathan Pie in the latest video, is that this scene has happened - your card carrying Labour gran or grandad always welcomed people different to them into their home in times when others wouldn't and joined protest for equality and progression. For the attitude coming from Pie, when it's gender, that's not "traditional" enough, when he sees progressive politics he laughs at it as a comic, and it's talked about "too much" when it's not nearly at all.

[3/3] of the liberals and centrists Walker lumps in with the left, they haven't been left in a good while, which Walker knows but Pie wants to muddy the waters for an outraged comic point here. As for "they have been too concerned with gender equality and not traditional workers concerns" the centrists and liberals have been as Conservative as possible dialing back the progressive attitude that IS traditional. The Left was always meant to be welcoming to others. It's the media, it's centrists.
