My daughter has a make-up table with mirror in the living room near the door from the genkan.

Recently she is using a new hair product and the overspray makes the floorboards extremely slippery.

So, I just saw the Borderlands movie.

Was it a bad movie? Meh, not really, I’ve seen a lot worse.

Was it a bad Borderlands movie? Yeah. The choice of cast, the lackluster action sequences, phoned in performances, the mistreatment of the lore and where is Handsome Jack? It all fails to please fans of the series.

I think Marcus was probably the best casting choice of the entire movie.

It’s a shame, it could have been awesome.

Following my post about airport shenanigans yesterday.

Airline IT systems have improved immensely, but rather than tossing everything out and starting fresh, they were built on top of systems from the 60's and 70's so a lot of guff remains.

Even now when your agent uses a spiffy GUI terminal to check you in they will sometimes be working in what equates to nothing more than a terminal emulator.

Two airlines now have my first and middle names registered as one without a space between. Why? Dunno.

This means it’s impossible for me to use any passport scanning device to check-in as the name on my passport does not match that on my boarding pass.

One thing modern LEGO does well is use colored pieces for non visible structure. It’s all been carefully planned to help the builder easily see where pieces are connected in relation to each other.

As a kid who grew up in the 80’s building space LEGO, where EVERYTHING was gray, this is a welcome change.

Daughter’s hair will be done and she’ll be dressed by 10. Her ceremony is scheduled for 15:00. She was debating coming home, but what a shame it would be to dress so beautifully only to hang out at home.

I’m heading to Kichijoji now, will take photos, visit a cafe, then lunch and show off our swag :)
