[#]PotRoast does anyone have a favorite technique? I have a Dutch oven a crock pot & an instapot. I have carrots & onions & potatoes & some nice meat. I have many herbs & spices & can buy more. I don’t often cook meat & have never made a pot roast. My mom, long passed, included onion soup mix, somehow, in her very good Dutch oven pot roast. I have French green beans, too. Side dish, or include? I have access to any ingredient, utinsel, or appliance, so don’t be shy. #NoMushroomsAllowed

All I wanted was for all the books, all the writing and art and images to be available and searchable in digital format. And that was exactly what Gutenberg.org did for books, and the internet for images as it emerged. I imagined this searchable library of words and images when I was hanging out in the MIT AI lab many decades ago, so it must have been in the air. And then it happened, and we all had so much fun and it was really mostly good. And then AI took a giant dump on it. 1/?

I have a small, unimportant brick house in PA, c. 1958. All evidence points to silly kitchens, two, historically. Late 50s, and I’m guessing mid late seventies. Floors, cupboards, counters. Silly! Going with a silly kitchen c. 2024. We’re all cool with that? Should mention we opened the kitchen up to the front room, so the silly is at bat. Silly.

Recently learned how to make bread, sourdough, too, but was baffled by the little basket thingies for proofing. Just a lot of reasons. I have a few IKEA stainless steel bowls in the middle size,and with a floured linen or cotton napkin, I am very happy with the shaping. #sourdough

Seeing laudatory posts about #bluesky & how it was more on top of the attempted coup in #southkorea than the #deadsite & wanted to say... I was getting real time information from great sources here on #Mastodon. I do follow a large number of people who are engaged in good faith with the world, but anyone can be. This is a great place to stay informed & engaged, but you have to follow strong, thoughtful, trustworthy entities. It's easy. Keep a healthy feed, same as on all social media.

It's too bad we are unable implement the rules set out in our Constitution. Getting the 14th Amendment passed was certainly a great deal of work for the people in charge at the time. And it was designed for just this moment, and it is perfect for avoiding exactly the destructive bad actors we have heading our way. Too bad we don't know how to use our own rule-book.
