It's actually colder on top of my mountain now than it was in December. It's supposed to drop to below freezing several times in the next week. It's taking an adjustment for coastl me to get used to the temperature extremes. And to get used to not having a fireplace to get the damp chill out of the air, too. Ah, I miss my old Fisher woodstove!

In other news of the day, we had clouds today and some dampness in the air after 2 weeks of sunny weather. I filled in a hole in the driveway with gravel from the creek (the gift that keeps on giving) and got the wooden ladder & the Dalila roots into the shed in case it rains overnight.

DI'd a quick Costco shopping, forgot to buy bread. But I did remember to get an extra jug of maple syrup, as that's likely to get more expensive when the tariffs hit. I'm trying buy 1 or 2 things to stock up on each trip. On the brighter side I got some zinnias to plant as pollinators in the garden. When it gets warmer, I'm going to plant some marigolds, as they attract pollinators and deter pests.

I've gotten enough housecleaning clients to about fill out 1 week. I need somewhere between 5-10 more (depending on the length of the cleans) before I'm fully employed & am self sustaining. In the meantime I'm still drawing on mu unemployment, which means I get to sit through a 3 hr webinar today.
