i wonder if most westerners know that stereotypical image of a mosque is just roman architecture and has nothing to do with islam. they just converted roman churches to mosques and then imitated the architecture because they liked it so much. (also ottomans had a claim to roman legacy)

Communist Party of Turkey got split a couple years ago between nationalist and still communist wings. Two main remaining groups formed into parties, both wanting the name, nationalists got the name Communist Party and the other side got People's Communist Party of Turkey. Then that wing split up some going to Communist Movement of Turkey and most going to Workers' Part of Turkey. Later Communist Party rebranded as that of Turkey. And this was the brief period when fucking fascist state's brand name wasn't in one of ML parties for a very brief period of time.

there is a practical meaning to actively and physically opposing every social hierarchy, no matter how trivial. You enemies and your allies get a chance to know you. And you allies get a chance to understand you. It's okay to chase a cat away from mouses, instead of only focusing on the class struggle. i see this as a shortcoming of non anarchist communisms and that of platformism/anarcho-syndicalism. Not every practice is so straight forwardly instrumental, sometimes it serves revolution indirectly.
