Being Brazilian, "improvise, adapt, overcome" is more than just a meme, is not even A way of life, it's the ONLY way of life.

That monitor has it's Vesa mounting point on the TOP!!! Why ? Because Samsung...

That meant the stand I just bought was too short, the bottom of the monitor would be touching the desk.

So I went looking for something cylindrical and long enough to extendend it.

Finally, I can stream games on Discord with audio on Linux. The trick is this nifty alternative Electron client called "Vencord Vesktop". https://github.com/Vencord/Vesktop

Not only it fixes this longstanding Discord lack of respect for the #linuxgaming community, it also let's me stream games at 1440p/60FPS without paying for Nitro. Nice.

Yes, it does have a Windows version.

Sam Altman's Crypto Orb Scam arrived in my country. This is an egregious theft of peoples most valuable personal information, since what's given in return have no value at all, while giving Altman potentially billions of Dollars once he starts selling this data.

This US election just showed how woefully unprepared Americans are to handle all the firearms they keep. Half the population just shot themselves (and the other half too) in the foot. 😰

Those will be awful 4 years, even more so for minorities.

After a 2 years hiatus, I'm back playing #EliteDangerous . I really like the changes they made. The grind is less gruesome, travel is easier inside systems, a new PowerPlay mechanic that is actually fun to play. Well done Frontier.

Ten days with my new mobile carrier and I'm already angry. First, one of the apps for recharging my car stopped working, then my self-hosted Wireguard VPN. Trying to debug it, I found that ALL IPv4 addresses were blocked, with "network unreachable". WTF?!?

IPv6 worked for my VPN, but the recharging app still didn't.

I found on an old Reddit post that if I changed the APN settings it might solve the problem. So I did. Problem solved.

My internet went down this morning, it was down at 10:00 when I left to visit some friends... it's 23:00 and it's still down.

Here in Brazil we are spoiled for choice of fuel for our cars: Gasoline, Ethanol, Natural gas, Diesel and now electricity.

I was doing some math after a week of owning an #ev and concluded that even paing R$ 2.00 per kWh, It's still cheaper than even Natural Gas.

Once I have my wallbox installed on the building, I will pay half that.

My new ride arrived Friday. These Chinese manufacturers are raising the bar for the industry. This car is just amazing. For less than US$ 30K it comes with everything you could wish for, excellent design, great performance, all the technological bells and whistles (including lane keeping and 360deg view), and lots of space.

I'm loving every minute I'm inside.

I bought a new car Saturday. Sunday, my old car decided to throw a small tantrum and turn on the check engine light, while cutting acceleration at about 4000RPM. I thing the old girl is jealous of the new one.

Whatever. I don´t regret. The new one is electric, with lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, incredible internal design, all for R$150k (about $30k in real money)...

It's my first car that is more expensive than my gaming PC...
