When I was a kid I wanted to be a drummer in Adam And The Ants. I even wrote to a BBC show to see if they could fix it for me. (In hindsight, probably best that I never heard back).

At the weekend I set up a quick little sensor for #HomeAssistant to report the temperature inside and outside #RC2014Towers.
Everything went well, and all looked good until this morning when it was telling me it was 13.6°C outside. Ah. The sensor was in direct sunlight, and it was actually reporting the temperature of the sun minus the ambient temperature!
I found a badly 3D printed Stevenson screen I made a few years ago. It is only mounted temporarily, but should be more accurate now.

DHL drivers always leave packages for me inside the porch and almost never even bother ringing the bell to let me know they've been, even though I am almost always home.

Am I being too cynical in thinking energy prices are out to screw me up? All summer when my solar panels have been generating loads of surplus power the price has been low, so I didn't earn much at all. Now that the days are getting shorter and I will soon be buying electricity again, the prices are going up. FFS!
