The latest calculations from Climate Valuation analysts found about 380,000 properties in Australia were either uninsurable or unaffordable to insure, equating to about one in every 20 homes.
That figure was expected to increase to one in 10 within the next decade, according to the firm's latest data.
Climate Valuation chief executive Karl Mallon said the rate at which houses were deemed uninsurable was increasing.
"All of this, unfortunately, is rolling out like clockwork, just as has been predicted in the climate models," Dr Mallon said.
Having done everything we can to make climate change worse, the dildo of consequence has arrived.

There has been record production and trade of coal and power generation from coal since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine inflated global gas market prices, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The IEA said the coal rebound, after a slump during the global Covid pandemic, means consumption of the fossil fuel is now on track to rise to a new peak of 8.77bn tonnes by the end of the year – and could remain at near-record levels until 2027.

Climate and Energy minister Chris Bowen declared "Australia is on track to deliver on our legislated targets" in his annual climate statement. But new data challenges that optimism.
The only really big cuts so far have happened in the land sector — by felling fewer trees, and planting more. (In the jargon of carbon reporting, that's called Land Use, or more formally Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF)).
All other emissions combined are now nearly identical to what they were in 2005.

I work in climate change and am having to pretend every day that there is still a chance we can prevent catastrophic climate change. I find it ever harder to be around people who don’t get just how bad things are. I don’t have kids and am single. I can’t talk to my family about it because they are rightwing, wealthy climate sceptics. They patronise me (despite the fact I’m nearly 60 and a chief executive).
Planet Earth is so beautiful, so incredible, I cry with the pain of what we are doing to it and to each other.

More than a million people fled their homes ahead of Man-yi, which struck the Philippines as a super typhoon before significantly weakening as it swept over the mountains of the main island of Luzon.
Man-yi dumped heavy rain, smashed flimsy buildings, knocked out power and claimed at least eight lives.
