I'm also interested in making a filesystem in the PSRAM - TinyQV doesn't support writing to flash, but having a local filesystem in RAM could be useful - and having a PSRAM filesystem option would be quite handy with various RP2350 MicroPython projects too...

TinyQV on #TinyTapeout 6 update: I have a CoreMark! 4.969 isn't going to be making any headlines, but it will be interesting to compare to other TinyTapeout SoCs.
And I have a #MicroPython port up and running! GPIO and SPI work, as does mpremote (but not Thonny for some reason). Next on the list will be trying to mount a filesystem on an SD card over SPI.

First things first, it powers on ok! It’s detected TT commander and the factory test counts on the 7 segment LEDs as expected.

Finally got my hands on #TinyTapeout 06! I’ve been really looking forward to this, it has my RISC-V RV32EC SoC, which (assuming it works) should be much faster and more flexible than the simple SoC I had on TT04.

I was playing with dry ice overclocking today at Pimoroni HQ. Fastest we got a Pico 2 was a little over 870MHz, running coremark on both cores, stable for around a minute.
@wren6991 might be interested that the fastest overclock was using the RISC-V cores: https://bsky.app/profile/rebelmike.bsky.social/post/3ldqpektgts2a

Well that's exciting. RP2350 interpolator rotates not shifts!
Which is cool, but can also break stuff if you are not expecting it.

I'm trying to get software ready for when the #TinyTapeout 6 boards arrive, which is hopefully just a couple of weeks away now.
I've started work on a Micropython port to run on my SoC - hopefully this workaround can be made to work reliably when the hardware arrives!

And this is why you should do plenty of testing before tape out...

The PSRAM support is a really cool feature of the #RP2350, but it does seem like maybe it wasn’t tested much - I’ve never seen any example code for bringing it up from Raspberry Pi, as far as I know it’s all worked out from the datasheet (primarily by me and @tannewt, I think!)

@wren6991 Huge congrats on getting your Risc-V core into the #RP2350!
