Does anybody know if Kirigami / Qt 6 have Rust bindings? I want to learn Rust, but for now only if I can make Qt GUI apps with it.

Another day on the Windows 11 "you spin me right round baby right round like a record like a record baby" train.

I hate to praise tech bans, but given one of Tencent's subsidiaries literally puts rootkits on gamers' computers, I'm not upset in this case.

And yes, apart having to update the firmware on Windows (because the firmware updating tool for the controller doesn't really work via Wine), it works beautifully on Linux, not just on my Steam Deck OLED, and even can control my desktop cursor when the controller is connected!
It's definitely better than my Stadia Controller was on Linux (which was pretty good in terms of Linux support) and much better than my Xbox Series Elite Controller, which required the external xpadneo drivers on Linux.

Are you kidding me PCWorld!? Now YOU'RE pulling this crap!? (To be fair, they do recommend two other legitimately good distros, Zorin OS & Linux Mint, though I would absolutely replace Wubuntu with @tuxedocomputers Tuxedo OS.)

Why Wubuntu was ever recommended to newer Linux users when it clearly could easily be sued by Microsoft for trademark violations, I have no idea.
I guess good job on finally pulling the recommendation? Still, this is irresponsible to be recommending distros that are CLEARLY illegal to have been made (Wubuntu likely won't get its users sued, juet the developer(s), but having a distro pulled under your feet is never good for new Linux users.)

Let me make something clear: I used to like Nintendo before Iwata died. But over the past five years, they grown to abuse their loyal fans and hurt competition to the point I actively hate them.
And it's not just me. The console exclusive model is dying. Nintendo isn't immune, and they could be the next Sega if they keep taking their fans for granted.

And this comes as the console market, especially exclusives, are dying.
Sony and Microsoft are getting it, and Nintendo either will have to play along or risk going down with the ship if the Switch 2 isn't a massive OG Switch like success. And as many indie games are on Steam as well and given the amount of indie games that have been delayed on the Switch because the Switch's extremely outdated hardware is hurting everybody, I can see this being a critical moment for Nintendo.

...They'll eventually gets what's coming to them and they'll lose their remaining fans. No video game company is infallible. Remember how big the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis was, and where Sega consoles are now after two failed follow-up consoles? Remember the failure that was the PS3's pricing or the lackluster Wii U?
Meanwhile, Valve has been shown to actually care about gamers and consumers, while Sony... At least gets gamers enough with their timed exclusives.

Honestly, I do think Valve's Steam OS based devices and Sony's PS lineup are going to be the "two main consoles". Microsoft seems to be moving so far away from exclusives that it's hurting them, and there's a whole laundry list of things wrong with Nintendo, including competition from the Steam Deck eating away their former indie market. If there isn't a first-party game that can hook gamers, if Nintendo doesn't beer up the Switch 2 enough, if Nintendo doesn't fix their corporate crap...

Hey Nick @thelinuxEXP this feels a bit sus from one of your sponsors. I'm not a legal expert, but what the heck is going on with Tuxedo's Linux drivers being GPLv3+? (Which is incompatible with the GPLv2 only used by the Linux kernel.) It looks very sus. (Maybe somebody from Tuxedo could explain this better?)
