I finally ended up installing the #Bluesky app on my phone today.
About 99% of the accounts that I cared about have moved off of #Twitter. That's a great thing to see.
Mostly local government agencies, traffic reports, elected officials, and a few regional news outlets that will most likely never migrate to the Fediverse.
I've got my account here bridged, so my account there is mostly r/o boosting some artists there.
I've got to say: their official app is pretty feeble compared to #Tusky

Nice to see some new, recent activity with #Python Poetry
I get a feeling there was a bit of a log-jam preceding the 2.0 release.

Embracing the New Wave of Satanic Panicβ’ with my new favorite compilation album.
"Anyone who grew up in the seventies remembers it as a bleak decade full of industrial unrest, power cuts, racists marching round the streets, football hooligans and oddly a plethora of magazines, books and movies that focused on the occult and Satanism.
Maybe people thought all the darkness in our nation had somehow opened a portal into the raging fires of hell..."

Also, for #CI tasks, you've got to add a line to install poetry-plugin-export
since that is no longer included in Poetry core(e.g. if you are exporting into a requirements.txt to create a venv for testing).
A shell has also been move out of core, you'll need poetry-plugin-shell
.

Using Poetry's own pyproject.toml https://github.com/python-poetry/poetry/blob/main/pyproject.toml as a reference and the occasional glance at the docs made the conversion to 2.0 compatibility pretty straightforward.

For the new year, I've started to watch the 1974 #TV series Kolchak: The Night Stalker. I vaguely remember, as a child 50 years ago, being creeped out by this show. I've remembered the opening scene with Darren McGavin whistling in the dark.
Last night, watched the episode Mr. R.I.N.G. where a robot created by the Tyrell Institute develops an instinct for survival & kills one of its makers & goes on the lam.
A great 70s paranormal romp.

In preparation for some other #documentation that I am currently working on, I "accidentally" managed to build a page of #Xfce keyboard shortcuts for the #xfwm4 window manager and some default application shortcuts.
Perhaps it will be useful.

Well that's not too bad, I guess. All of my project tests still pass with Poetry 2.0. Nothing appears broken so far.π
There's going to be a bit of cleanup to the pyproject.toml; but, that's to be expected. I've already previously deprecated the use of ^(caret) for versioning constraints. So I don't have to deal with that now.
The output from poetry check
gives me my new homework assignment:

Spent another portion of the evening capturing updated screenshots for the #Xfce #Documentation for the new 4.20 release.
Thanks to some unexpected help & motivation from another volunteer, I think we are close to getting ~95% of the pages updated with new images. The remainder of the components will have to be built from source which will take a bit of time.
I'm truly appreciative of someone stepping in to help on the project to boost morale & keep me motivated.

Out of 3 Nosferatu #film, Egger's effort is definitely 3rd, for me.
I enjoyed it mostly & will watch it again. I think if I had not had a long history with the others, I may have come away less critical of this 1.
1 point only here: The new Nosferatu is apparently menacing; but, most of the role is obscured by shadows & mumbling.Only in the last 5 minutes do we really get repulsive, grotesque, alien, dessicated & feral.
Herzog & Murnau had this in spades all the way.My 2Β’.

Tonight, we're catching a late(9:45PM) showing of Nosferatu.
From what I can tell, it looks like the theatre is going to be pretty full.
I, honestly, can't remember the last time that I was this excited to see a relatively mainstream release on the big screen. Also, the first time I've made sure that I've avoided all reviews & trailers, so I'm going in cold.
I'm not too worried; but, I sincerely hope that Eggers doesn't fuck up one of my favorite horror stories ever.

About a month ago, our building management replaced all of the mailboxes & it their chassis(?) due to crappy locks and repeated vandalism.
Tonight, walking down to fetch some things from the car, I saw this.π π‘
Fortunately for us, we've kept a P.O. box for years. But, occasionally, we do have things mis-delivered to the building mailbox. This fucking sucks for folks who rely on these boxes.
