Climate Change is going from a brush fire to an inferno. We can't sprinkle a few drops of action upon it and expect it to be extinguished. Pointing fire hoses of mass actions upon it from every direction is the only way we are going to avert a global catastrophe.

Lexi and her litter started off as wild and mean feral kittens. Now they are around 5 months old, tame and very loving. This is her first reintroduction to the outdoors after being captured at about 6 weeks.

I plan to dual boot my Windows 11 laptop with some flavor of Linux to avoid integration and support of AI. I have used Ubuntu in the past. My preference is one that doesn't require high level of geekdom to use.

Could anyone offer suggestions and insights on which flavor to use?

Putting the Use By date to the test. Found an unopened tub of Wholly Guacamole in the fridge with a use by date of May 17, 2024. It smells and tastes fine. I will report back tomorrow if I survive.

I almost forgot #Caturday Saturday. I trapped five feral kittens when they were about seven weeks old. They were mean and had razor sharp claws. Now they are about twelve weeks old and are very loveable and compete for my lap.

I have spent the past hour searching for a domain that contains the term "vegan" to register. Nearly every permutation I can come up with redirects to the exact same landing page offering the domain for sale.

Over the past 25 years I have register 100s of domains and never encountered something like this. It seems very suspicious to me and caused me to wonder if there's a chance domain squatters are using AI to generate and register domains.

Has anyone noticed this when looking for #domains?

I respect the investigative journalism of Woodwards however I find it irritating that he's only revealing that now in his book. Knowledge of Trump's continued relations with Putin should have been brought forth as soon as it was discovered. It seems many people are saving critical knowledge and insights for their profits through books.

I finally deleted my Facebook and Instagram accounts. It's refreshing to know that I will not be contributing to the META complex. Now I need to find an alternative to Marketplace and Groups.

I prefer living in a decentralized, non-AI social environment. Mastodon and Pixelfed are my choices to share and gather.

Found the Wrath of Khan still in the wrapper at a thrift store. Who misses the good ol' days of slipping a VHS tape into the VCR on a weekend night?

Unlike streaming a video there was a bit of a ritual to it. Starting by selecting a movie then slipping it out of the cardboard sleeve. The clunking sound of the tape being sucked into the VCR and the reels engaging to begin playing it. If you were lucky you didn't have to fiddle with the tracking wheel.

Those were the days.
