Big weekend for me. First time hiring a van. First time driving a van. Drove a van for five hours on a return trip to buy some shop display units. Wife and I installed the units and shelving, including joining them together and securing them to the wall. Then we filled them units with so many random lego from around the house!

I wish I had started logging my #homeassistant data to #influxdb sooner - I've used HA for so long but only set it up back in Feb this year... The #grafana graphs are super interesting (but tricky and confusing to write), and it's really nice to be able to visualise things back past when HA would usually delete or lose granularity on values!

My first #aurora !

Started out pale green and not very visible, then pulled reds and purples, and quite visible.

Shots were just with my iPhone in hand from south of Edinburgh, but I'm really chuffed. Wondering if I can get a tripod for tomorrow night 🤩

Took this picture a couple of days ago when it was sunny, but held off posting until #caturday. Thought I would mess with my camera while it was nice out. My cat Mobius found a #bee and was chasing it around the backyard and they stopped for a photo op!

Yesterday afternoon one of my cats was scratching on a log in our back yard, turns out he had cornered a butterfly!

He pulled it out to path where I took it from him for a photo, then let it out where it flew away. It looked a bit ragged but I don't know how much was from Helix or on purpose, but it seemed to fly OK.

Turns out it was a peacock butterfly (not a moth as pre-edit), very large and pretty! #NotAMoth #cat #butterfly #PeacockButterfly

If the moon had an atmosphere similar to earth's, during (what we currently call) a total eclipse, what would it look like? Would it lens the sun's rays and carve a large burn area through our planet, or would it be too far or close for that? Would it look like a burning eye of some vengeful mystical god for the duration?

I should google it, it feels like this would have been answered already.

I've been playing with Godot and implemented your mouse aim tutorial (which works brilliantly!), and I'm trying to add movement keys for a fly cam. I've got some basics working and I can fly up and down with jump/crouch, and left/right/forward/back in the X/Z plane, but I was hoping to get it to fly forward along the head direction.

Currently I'm essentially doing dir * character basis, but not sure how to get the head rotation involved!
