Took a first step by deleting apps for FB and X. Joined FB 15 years ago to connect with former classmates before our high school reunion. It was a different landscape then. It was a tool, a product I was using. I didn’t feel like I was the product being used. To be clear, I can still log on via computer or laptop. But the at-your-fingertips ease is gone. Be kind. Baby steps, folks….

The songwriter in the family recently gave up social media (FB/IG are what they used). They say their focus and time on task has dramatically improved. They also say they feel more fully “here” in each present moment. I find their experience very inspiring. Could I do it?
