So happy to hear that UWU union brokered a deal with Woolworths, and crucially have forced Woolworths to agree that workers will not be disciplined if they don't achieve the 100% pick rate that Woolworths was forcing on employees via their worker performance system – https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/woolworths-strikes-deal-with-union-to-end-warehouse-strike-20241207-p5kwls.html

So many devs out there not considering accessibility needs of their fellow developers. Such a sad sight to see. 😞
EDIT: I just want to clarify that if you use spaces exclusively, you prioritise your own aesthetic preferences over real accessibility needs of low-sight developers. You should feel bad for doing so.

Just got an email from Amber Electric (that wholesale electricity company), trying to get me to churn my electricity provider back to them “just in time for summer”.
Ahahahaha no thanks. They advertised their average VIC rate is 17c/kwh but what they fail to tell you is what the peaks are – I don’t really feel like paying over $1/kwh at 6pm when we are trying to get dinner sorted (and is usually the most power we consume during the entire day). No point paying 17c or less per kwh during the day when you’re not using much power, and then get absolutely slammed with peak pricing when you need the power the most.

Today’s spoils are a new in box Nikon Speedlight SB-28 (includes papers, pouch) and a Bronica Zenzanon MC 200mm f/4.5 lens for my ETRSi.
Quite a few Leicas and point and shoots today, not that many Hasselblads anymore, and a larger contingent of female patrons which is great to see as photography and camera collecting are typically somewhat male dominated.

Today is film camera swap meet today! I’m giddy with excitement.
I couldn’t promise my wife that I wouldn’t be irresponsibly splurging cash on obscure film cameras today, despite me also purchasing a new phone this month. We’ll see how the day pans out.
