Hi fellow #linux crowd people humans.

I need some suggestions for a current linux distribution that runs from a usb-stick (used to be called live linux)

All my go-to options are outdated or apparently unmaintained.

Whats your favourite to just plug into sone pc and use?

(Gui is neccessary, need to be able to install software and would be nice to retain data/settings)

Shoutout to #yt-dlp

i had to atchive some embedded vimeo videos from a page and was wondering how to go about it, looking into the page source for links etc.

Then i thought "what if..." And just handed the url of the whole page to #ytdlp and it just downloaded all embedded vids and even saved them with useful flames.

I thought I'd tag you @sairaworkshop for my first time ever working with leather :)

I made handles from wood to make the clothes basket easier/more pleasant to carry, and didn't like the look.

But I had some leather for my second ever leatherworking project, and thought I'd give it a try and wrap the handles.

Getting the seam right is very hard in a soft somewhat stretchy material.

Still, Very happy with it :)

Soooo.. This is a thing that just happened that is slightly aggravating: #firefox just lost all open tabs (even pinned ones), history (for this device only thank gods), open windows.

I installed a windows yesterday on a different PC, and logged in with the same windows login this one uses.

Then installed firefox and logged in to sync.

Did that somehow overwrite the profile?

Even though it was a different PC?

I would really like to have my open tabs back. :(
